Well i was looking for some cheap reenactment gear and all i found was these. Can you find some other website if you can cheaper than these prices.

You should first check with the unit you are joining to make sure that they don’t have higher authenticity requirements (i.e. better made uniforms and equipment). They may also have a list of preferred sutlers to use which could give you a better deal. Also check with members in your unit because the cheapest way to get a kit is buying a used one from other reenactors

Finally, those two plus Uncle Sam’s Sutlery are some of the cheapest I know of.

Thank you and i did talk to my unit commander and he said next reenactment i should take a look around for a musket and some other gear that i am missing.
Cause we do get stuff cheap.

Woah.. he told you to scout for muskets so soon? LOL usually wool and leather is what you want to get first as that is what defines your impression. The gun is a very expensive purchase and harder to find as most sutlers you will have to order it from specially and take weeks if not months to arrive depending on demand. Blockade runner is a good sutler that Mike, his dad, and myself have been going through. They also have fair costs on Muskets. Just like the restrictions your unit may have on uniform check what restrictions they have on muskets. Some only allow 58 cal, others 69, some mix. Most for safety and simplicity limit to three band rifles. Although if your unit has loaner gear they probably have the least in guns since they are very pricey like i said.

Again check with unit commander for sites they approve for both uniforms and firearms.

I'll second Blockade Runner as a decend cost effect sutler. Many of the guys in our unit have stuff from them and it works out very well.

I'd be careful about purchasing any musket that seems cheaper than most. That is one item you don't want any faults with. Plus a more expensive one might pay for itself in the long run.
